The Bible is our absolute standard of faith and practice for all areas of life. However, we agree with and accept as our secondary doctrinal standard The 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. A confession is simply what you believe and as the body of Christ, we have adopted the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith as the expression of our covenant of faith. We have done so for several reasons. Most importantly because of its accuracy to the Scriptures. Secondly, because of its historicity. Not only does its use go all the way back to 1689, being used by the English Baptists, but it was also used by the Northern Baptists in America, adopted as the 1742 Philadelphia Baptist Confession of Faith, and the Baptists in the South, adopted as the 1767 Charleston Baptist Confession of Faith.
We hold to historic Christianity as we affirm the following creeds:
1. Apostles Creed
2. Nicene Creed
3. Athanasian Creed
3. Chalcedonian Creed
We are Reformed as we affirm the five principles of Reformed Theology:
1. Sola Scriptura ("by Scripture alone")
2. Sola Fide ("by faith alone")
3. Sola Gratia ("by grace alone")
4. Solus Christus or Solo Christo ("Christ alone" or "through Christ alone")
5. Soli Deo Gloria ("glory to God alone")
We are Baptist as we affirm the distinctive Baptist principles:
1. The Bible is the final authority for faith and practice.
2. Church self-government.
3. Believer's baptism
4. Baptism by immersion
5. Regenerate church membership
6. Church discipline
